INGREDIENTS
Chicken Sauce:

margarine

diced celery

marjoram or thyme

Worcestershire sauce

milk

Cornbread Ring:

poultry seasoning

corn meal
▢

cup
sifted flour
▢

sugar

baking powder

milk
▢

meted shortening or oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Chicken Sauce:
Melt margarine over low heat, saute onion and celery until lightly browned.
Add flour and seasonings, blend until smooth.
Add milk and chicken broth gradually; cook, stirring constantly until sauce is thick and smooth.
Add Worcestershire sauce.
Add chicken to sauce and beat thoroughly.
Pour into baked corn bread ring.
Serve immediately.
Cornbread Ring:
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add egg, milk and shortening.
Stir until ingredients are well mixed.
Do not beat.
Baked in a greased 8 inch ring mold in 425 oven for 20-25 minutes.
Turn out onto platter (I use a pie plate).
Fill center of ring with creamed chicken.
