INGREDIENTS

Cake:

  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter (softened)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups plums (drained and chopped)

Glaze:

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • cup buttermilk

INSTRUCTIONS

Cake:

  • Cream sugar and butter.
  • Add eggs and buttermilk.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Mix well.
  • Pour batter into a 9” X 13” pan (greased and floured)
  • Bake at 325° for 35 minutes.

Glaze:

  • Cook until it starts to boil.
  • Pour over hot cake.

NOTES

  • Depending on size - about 12 servings!
Tip: Add 1 T vinegar or lemon juice per cup milk to make buttermilk.
