EQUIPMENT
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup white sugar
- 1 ½ sticks butter (melted)
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix flour, salt, and baking soda in small mixing bowl. Set aside.
- Melt butter and allow to reach room temperature.
- Mix brown sugar, white sugar, and butter just until combined.
- Add egg and egg yolk and beat well.
- Mix in vanilla.
- Beat in flour mixtureâ…“ to the rest of the ingredients until well combined. Feel free to use more or less flour depending on how dry or moist the dough mixture is.
- Stir in chocolate morsels.
- Roll dough into golf ball size portions and place them on a prepared baking sheet approximately 2 inches apart.
- Bake cookies for approximately 18 – 22 minutes (until golden brown around the edges).
- Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely.
NOTES
I ended up using about 2 1/3 cups flour when I made this.
